MintBlue partners with Kamer van Koophandel, Yuki

Partnerships clear the way for invoice processing

In collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, mintBlue, a Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, has announced a new integration for accounting platforms like Yuki, on 20 February 2023. The platform, mintBlue, offers a software development kit that makes blockchain technology accessible, allowing invoice processors to publish their invoices on a public blockchain, ensuring standardization and eliminating the need for intermediaries.

Since 2019, the Dutch government directed invoices to use Universal Business Language, an XML file that is fixed and structured. Despite this requirement, 80 percent of businesses continue to use PDF or paper formats for invoicing. An immediate solution is provided by mintBlue, rendering payments faster and errorless.

The collaboration between mintBlue, the Chamber of Commerce, and Yuki precedents a secure environment for invoice processing. The director of Yuki, Nick van Schijndel, affirms the need for efficient invoicing software, "For complete security and automation in invoice processing, it is essential for more companies to implement the blockchain in their invoicing software. This will ensure that each invoice has encrypted digital variant that can be retrieved from the blockchain, providing constant authenticity."

The continuously accessible database creates transparency and accountability between parties. Moreover, mintBlue illustrates the scope for e-invoicing to become commonplace. Articulated by the CEO of mintBlue, Niels van den Bergh, “This collaboration showcases the scalability of our SDK and its ability to bring tangible value to organizations and businesses. We are proud to collaborate with Visma | yuki to make e-invoicing more efficient, secure, and future-proof."

The Blockchain-as-a-Service platform was founded at the beginning of 2022 as a response to the sweep of digitalization across industries, creating a culture of automated identity verification and control.
