TikTok is taking a major step to empower creators with the official launch of its revamped "Subscription" feature, now rolling out in key markets like the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, and Brazil. Aimed at helping creators monetize their content beyond just live streaming, this tool allows them to offer exclusive videos, live sessions, and other perks to paying subscribers, giving users more reasons to stick around and engage deeply with their favorite creators.
Originally launched as a tool for LIVE creators, the revamped Subscription feature is TikTok’s answer to platforms like Patreon and Instagram Subscriptions, where creators can unlock new earning opportunities by offering subscribers special content across multiple tiers. Each tier comes with unique perks, including Sub Space—an exclusive communication channel—custom badges, and unique stickers for LIVEs. Whether it’s behind-the-scenes content, shoutouts, or even gaming sessions, TikTok’s Subscription allows creators to tailor perks specifically for their audience.
To qualify, creators need to be 18 years old with at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the past month. With the platform expanding this feature into more regions soon, TikTok is setting the stage for a fresh wave of creator-led content, making it easier for creators to build deeper connections and grow their communities while boosting their revenue.
TikTok’s latest push highlights its commitment to supporting creators as they move beyond traditional social media, offering more ways to monetize their passion and creativity directly from their audience. The Subscription feature is poised to create a richer, more interactive experience for both creators and fans worldwide.
