Intrinsic ID, a global leader in digital security solutions, proudly marks a significant milestone as it commemorates 15 years of groundbreaking achievements. Established in 2008, Intrinsic ID emerged as a spinoff from Philips Research, where its founders spearheaded groundbreaking research into security for ambient intelligence – a precursor to the Internet of Things (IoT). Over the years, the company has spearheaded the use of Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) for security and authentication in embedded systems and the IoT. Today, Intrinsic ID's PUF-based security solutions safeguard sensors in everything from smartwatches to satellites, powering over 600 million devices worldwide and counting.

Intrinsic ID has showcased consistent growth throughout its history, with its core technology receiving acclaim from industry experts. In recent years, the company has experienced accelerated momentum, doubling its revenue and substantially increasing the number of devices embedded with its technology. Notably, it has ventured into high-growth market sectors such as automotive, data centers, and the IoT. The company's two latest product launches underscore its unwavering commitment to IoT security.

Intrinsic ID recently achieved the coveted PSA Certified Level 3 Root of Trust (RoT) Component Certification with QuiddiKey 300, solidifying its position as the world's first IP provider to do so. This achievement was part of its endeavor to cater to key markets, including automotive, data center, government/defense, and IoT. Additionally, Intrinsic ID introduced Zign®, a software-based solution that provides every connected device with a unique identity and hardware-based security anchor. Intrinsic ID's journey began with pioneering work on SRAM PUF. An influential paper published by the founders and their colleagues from Philips Research in 2007, titled "FPGA PUFs and Their Use for IP Protection," remains highly relevant. The paper has been cited over 1500 times and was recently named one of the three "most noticeable" papers in the 25-year history of the annual Conference on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems (CHES). CHES serves as the premier platform for cryptographic hardware and software research, and the recognition was based on the objective measure of citations.
